Alaska Brown Bear standing alert just before it charged photographers. Many bear charges from young or sub adult bears like this pair of siblings are done to see if the subject being charged will run. If the subject runs the bear goes into the predator-prey mode. In this case we did not run and after a ver scary display of jaw popping and growling while we tried to look big and making noise ( screaming) at the grizzly the bear just walked away.
