The Winter Glow
Zion Nation Park Photography Print
A pristine winter morning where fresh snow meets the fiery alpenglow of Zion’s peak. Product Description A Rare Intersection of Elements. This high-resolution medium format photograph documents a fleeting moment in Zion National Park that few are privileged to witness. The composition highlights the crystalline beauty of a heavy desert snowfall against the iron-rich, glowing Navajo Sandstone. This exclusive release is strictly limited to an edition of only 50 fine art photo prints. Meticulously produced to museum standards, each piece is available in Lumachrome HD Acrylic or ChromaLuxe Metal, delivering the extraordinary color depth and three-dimensional clarity that are the hallmarks of a Jess Lee professional print. Fire and Ice My five-decade career has revealed that the most impactful images are born from a collision of opposites. In the high desert, those opposites are rarely more dramatic than during a winter clearing. While Zion is a sanctuary of warmth and red rock for most of the year, a heavy snow transforms it into something ethereal and quiet. Half a century in the field has taught me to anticipate the "break" in a storm. I stood at the edge of the Virgin River as the clouds parted, allowing the first light of day to strike the Watchman with a saturated orange glow. The challenge was to balance that intense "fire" on the peak with the high-key brilliance of the snow-draped bridge and banks. Utilizing the extreme resolution of my medium format system, I was able to preserve the micro-textures of the frost and the granular detail of the sandstone—a technical precision I’ve refined throughout my time producing covers for National Geographic and National Wildlife. For the collector, The Winter Glow is a prestigious, limited-edition testament to the canyon’s rare side. It brings a sense of archival stillness and the vibrant energy of the Western sun into your space, captured with the refined perspective of a legacy spanning 50 years.
