I usually don’t put two photos in a post but they seem to go together. The California Condors just love Marble Canyon. This  Condor was watching over its fledgling roosted on the iron work of the Marble Canyon Bridge.

Well today was the end of my short trip to central Arizona. It is starting to get warm here and the snowbirds are flocking north. Well, I will brag about this one.

Midway is one of my Favorite Locations. It doesn’t have the variety of other basins but the Firehole river and the orange/yellow outflow of the basin seem like a magic combination. On this morning we we lucky enough to be on the bridge just as the sun came over the terrace.

This Photo Adventure will take us to some of the most dramatic and iconic locations in the Southwest.
In addition our Navajo guide Tom Phillips will lead use to seldom visited locations such as a night on Hunts Mesa, Ear of the Wind and more.

When running low on wildlife photo opportunities Yellowstone always provides plenty of others. We were shooting ice and frost patterns along the Lamar River last week with the usual +1 .5 compensation to get the exposure right with snow and bright lighting conditions,  when I decided I wanted to emphasise the cold by using super blue.
