We had visited and photographed this little band of wild horses a couple of days before this photo but they didn”t have this little one then.
I think it is doing a good job of keeping up with the Mare and Stallion.

This is a sow grizzly with 2 spring cubs at Lake Clark. The cubs were up a tree in the bush so we didn’t get to photograph them.

Katmai Coastal bears. How long will it last?


I am just getting back to editing last years Katmai Coastal Boat trip photos and wanted to share a few of these cute mom and cub photos.
Going over the thousands of shots from this trip reminds me of what a special place this remote, undisturbed , land of the great bears is for now.
