 I just wanted to thank the members of last weeks Alaska moose workshop for the great time and putting up the those winds. It was a great shoot and some cool rut activity. Next year Cory and I will be having this trip in mid September

We all knew it was coming. Now it is here. The NPS is making changes at Silver Salmon to make things more difficult for Photographers.
Some the the changes are small, some will help bears without affecting responsible photographers, but the biggie will change the photography here for ever.

This photo shows what can happen when we get to fixed on the action. While it is a good photo the foreground is cut off too close to the bears. This is usually caused by making your composition centered on the central focusing sensor of your camera.
