Denali Shuffle ll

Denali wolves are a little easier to photograph than their cousins in Yellowstone but when you are on the shuttle it evens out.
We were lucky with this gal when we came upon here next to the road. She offered me a chance with Denali in the background but that shot is a little bushy. Still [...]

Denali, Shuttle Shuffle

Denali,
The land of agony and almost ecstasy. The Denali shuttle is not the best way to see the park but for many times it is the only way. Bounching buses crowded with people can take it toll on your pleasure but some times the pain is almost worth the pleasure.

Black Bears Happen in Alaska

This guy came to us by a friend of Ron’s letting him know the Black Bear was feeding in his yard. It was the beginning of a great day.

Spring has actually arrived. Yep it is true, we now have mud. We also have bears, wolves, Bison calves and lots of dead Bison.
As I may have mentioned we don’t have very many Bison calves. There were many still births and Bison still falling over dayly from starvation. As you can see from the photo [...]

Are we living in a bear Den?

On May 2nd we went back up to our cabin which is in the heart of Grizzly country just southwest of the continual divide and the Idaho Montana border. We hadn’t been there for about a week while we did some business in Idaho Falls.  To my shock there was this good sized hole in [...]
