Three dog days (photographing Fox Coyote and Wolf the same day) are not common. Yesterday morning we did it all in the same location, in Lamar Canyon, within 10 minuets. It was fun for those who set up fast enough to get the job done in time.
me? I missed the wolf while helping clients get their gear out and set up. Still it was fun for me to see my folks get it done!

It must be wonderful, when you can see so much different animals in your wilderness. Here in Austria, we don’t have such a different population, because there is too much civilization, and wolf and bear have not really the place they do need. I’m a sorry about this, and I hope I can visit the great Nationalparks in USA, Canada, or Alaska!

Yes Ken did get the three dog day even if the wolf was not that great a picture.
Patricia and I did get pictures of the lovely fox not as good as this one but we have photos.
WE have had a great week and would recomend it to anyone who wants to try and photograph wolves in a wonderfull habit
I had the extraordinary pleasure of experiencing a three dog day at Yellowstone in June of 2009. All in the Lamar Valley, as well. I’ll never forget it..especially as I was in the company of a local wildlife biologist and he was more excited than anyone!
