Alaska, The Great land.
It is good to be back. We arrived Monday morning and by afternoon I was aboard a chartered a boat with Doug Boulden, owner of Captain Kid’s charters. I was with a couple of other photographers, Mike Murphy of Texas and Ron Niebrugge of Alaska. We were working out of Seward in the Gulf of Alaska near Kenai Fiord’s National Park in search of Marine Mammals.
Thanks to Doug experience we did find plenty. One especially intriguing place was a little inlet I call the bay of pigs since there were so many Orcas on patrol for salmon there.
This big boy was surely the boss if size is any indication. I can attest to his dominance over use as we all felt just a little smaller watching him. As he made this run to see just who had invaded his turf I know I had second thoughts on leaning over the bow of Doug’s little boat for this shot.

A classic photo Jess. It is interesting to see the different photos that you, Ron, and Mike got on this trip.
Hi Richard,
You are correct, in a small boat using the same lens’s different images.
Hi Jess,
It is interesting to see the different images we all captured, although I must say, I have one that looks nearly identical to this one!
Hope you are seeing wolves in Denali.
Ron
