Lovely day at Silver Salmon. On our thrid try we were able to get some time with this mom and her babies. They are still a little shy, as new cubs are, but we are going to keep woking on them for the right shot.

The land of agony and almost ecstasy. The Denali shuttle is not the best way to see the park but for many times it is the only way. Bounching buses crowded with people can take it toll on your pleasure but some times the pain is almost worth the pleasure.

This is from a long series of photos of wolves hunting elk calves in Yellowstone. They were shot on one of my recent tours. The cow elk is trying to distract the wolves from where her baby was hidden. Once she allowed the wolves to chase her into the Yellowstone river. A couple of times [...]
