Hayden Wolves are back!
This morning I received a call from Dan Kaiser a member of my recently completed Memorial day tour letting me know that 2 gray wolves and a black were feeding on a kill just west of Canyon junction. Dan has some great images.
While on my tour we had begun seeing these wolves following the same paths and behaviors of the Hayden pack of last year before they were dispersed by the Mollies after they killed the Hayden alpha pair. They had not been seen much in the Hayden valley but as the snow has melted the elk have once again returned to the Hayden. With the elk the wolves have followed.
This will be an interesting Spring and summer in Hayden valley
