The desert bloom is on.
As predicted the Desert is a Bloom this year. Joshua tree north is still to come with the exception of Amboy crater which is in full bloom. On a side note gas at Amboy was $4.9 for regular. Hello GW!
Organ Pipe is awesome as usual but I am prejudiced I love the place even without flowers.
This is one of those years when the bloom is a movable feast. The whole state will not bloom at once it will be spread over several weeks. That is great for photographers, if you can keep track of the best locations. Right now Picacho is wonderful and should last for another 10 days since no real hot weather is predicted. The poppies are spreading their petals so I am off.
