Bosque on the rocks

by Jess on November 28, 2007

Bosque sunrise
Management practices have made photography a little different along the Rio Grande this fall. Crop rotation and view blocking brush growth has seriously reduced the shooting along the north fields. Is Bosque still worth a visit? You bet! There are still plenty of birds and you can stay busy all day if you look for new ways to shoot this great location.

If you make it here this year let the refuge management people know you appreciate the way they manage the refuge for the wildlife but it is peoples enjoyment and ability to view and photograph that wildlife that helps fund these great national treasures.

Jess,

I was @ Bosque on Sunday 11/18. The main pond was almost empty of water. Has the increased?

Bob,
The water is up this week but still the grass is too high for decent photos after landing
