Yellowstone Christmas Photo Workshop

February trips available Please check here

If you are interested in next year please email Jess@jessleephotos.com

Christmas in Yellowstone, December 26th through January 2nd, possibly the best Large Mammal photo opportunity on the planet. Go with a local photographer who spends over a hundred days a year photographing and marketing his Yellowstone work to publications such as National Wildlife, Sierra, Defenders of Wildlife and Sports Afield.

We will meet on the evening of the 26th in Bozeman Montana for dinner and a introduction to Yellowstone in winter. The morning of the 27th we will leave Bozeman at sunrise for our tripod Yellowstone's north range and Lamar Valley. During our drive to the parks north entrance we will stop to photograph the vistas of the Absaroka Mountains and the Yellowstone river in Paradise Valley while watching for deer, coyotes and eagles.

For the rest of our adventure we will photograph the wintering home of ice rimed Bison, Elk, Moose, Coyotes, Bighorn Sheep, Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope,Trumpeter swans, and Bald Eagles. As with all wildlife there are no guarantees but I have had great luck finding wolves during this time.

We will visit the steaming geysers and thermal areas of Norris geyser Basin and the interior of the Yellowstone. You will photograph Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and the winter wilderness of Hayden Valley. This will all be done from our warm secure modern private snow coach.

The snow coaches I have arranged for to take us deep within the winter wonderland of interior Yellowstone normally carry 10 to 12
passengers, we will have a maximum of 6 so that there is plenty of room for our equipment.

On our last day we will photograph in the early morning in Yellowstone then work our way back to departing flights in Bozeman.

Lodging, snow coach, and transportation from and to Bozeman.

$2650 Double Occupancy. $500 deposit holds your place.
