Yellowstone - Grand Teton National Parks in The Fall
This is the trip that has been choosen as the Grand Prize of the prestigious Defenders Of Wildlife Photo contest three years in a row.

During your time in Yellowstone we will concentrate on Your images capturing the essence of autumn in location only dreamed of by many photographers. From pre dawn to after the last twilight we will hunt for images of the beauty of this land. We will show you how to photograph the steaming geysers and thermal areas of Norris geyser Basin and the interior of the Yellowstone's geyser basins. You will photograph Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and the winter wilderness of Hayden Valley. When we move to Grand Teton we will be at the best time to fill your flash cards with beautiful and artfully designed images of what many believe is the world most photogenic mountain range in the world and the vast numbers of wildlife that lives there.

Jess has been living, photographing, guiding and instructing in the Yellowstone eco-system for over 30 years. Jess spends over a hundred days a year photographing Yellowstone and its wildlife .Living in the Yellowstone eco system gives Jess the intimate knowlege of these two parks possed by few workshop leaders. Thousands of his award winning Yellowstone photographs have appeared in publications such as National Wildlife, Sierra, Defenders of Wildlife and Sports Afield. Jess's wild wolf images have appeared in prestigious publications such as National Wildlife, Smithsonian, Defenders of Wildlife, Backpacker and many more including Ken Burns recent hit production " National Parks, Americas Best Idea". While most tour leader come to Yellowstone for a few short weeks a year we are attuned to the local conditions and keep up to date on the wildlife activities by daily contact. In addition we have a vast network of local friends who are constantly reporting to us on wildlife activities.This is your chance to learn from that vast base of experience.

The itinerary will include meeting the in the early afternoon of September 22th in Idaho Falls, Idaho where we will pick you up for our trip to Yellowstone National Park. or you may choose to meet us in West Yellowstone if you are arrive there by flight or car. After you are settled in your room we will have a brief trip orientation and evening of photographing along the Madison River in Yellowstone National Park. For the next 3 days we will leave West Yellowstone well before dawn to set up in time for our sunrise shooting among the rich wildlife that autumn brings. These will be long exciting days with opportunities to photograph subjects West Yellowstone as varied as large mammals, the Elk rut, bubbling geysers and mud pots.
On the 26th we will depart Yellowstone after a morning shoot and safari to Grand Teton National park and Jackson Hole Wyoming. From here we will spend our time photographing autumn colors and wildlife with the backdrop of one of the most magnificent mountain ranges in the world. We will photograph iconic locations such as Oxbow Bend, Mormon Row Barns, Snake River Overlook and Schwabacher Landing .
The late morning of the 28th find us saying good by. We will drop you off at the Jackson airport around noon or continue on to return to the Idaho Falls airport around 1:30 pm.
This trip includes, lodging, ground transportation, guiding, field instruction. $2495. Single supplement $250.
Meals are not included. $500. Deposit
GROUP MINIMUM: Occasionally I am able to run
a trip below our group minimum which is generally 3. In such instances it
may be necessary to apply a small group supplement. You would be contacted
regarding such a situation but you would not be obligated to accept the new
terms.
RESERVATIONS: Your $ 500 deposit is required to secure your place on any trip,
with the balance due120 days prior to the departure date.

Details of hotels, flight arrival recommendations and other trip tips will
be mailed when the tour is full.
MEALS: Some meals and refreshments are included depending on the trip details,
but not alcoholic beverages.
ADMISSIONS: Access to public buildings and national parks etc. is not included
in the land price.
CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations must be confirmed in writing, and due to
costs incurred by JessLeePhotos in arranging a tour, deposits are non refundable. Payment in full is required 120 days prior to departure.
Cancellations after 120 days will receive a full refund( except deposit) if
your spot can be filled from a waiting list or if you can fill your spot.
JessLeePhotos LLC strongly suggest that tour participants
invest in trip cancellation insurance.
CANCELED EXPEDITIONS: In the event of insufficient tour sign-ups, JessLeePhotos
reserves the right to cancel any given trip. In that event 100% of moneys
received will be returned. However, JessLeePhotos is not responsible for expenses
incurred by its customers.
LUGGAGE: JessLeePhotos request that tour participants limit their luggage
to the equivalent of one suitcase, one flight bag, one camera bag and tripod.
We do not wish to be dictatorial in this matter, but asks that group members
bear in mind space and comfort in our vans. All personal luggage is the responsibility
of the owner so please keep the weight to a limit YOU can handle and other
restrictions can be met.
SMOKERS: Smoking is not permitted at meals or on vans. It can be permitted
at photo stops where local ordinances permit, photography and photographers
are not affected.
RESPONSIBILITY: JessLeePhotosLLC and its agents act only as agents for the
passenger in all matters relating to travel arrangements, and as such, do
not assume responsibility for injury, accident, damage, loss, delay or irregularity
which may occur via defect of transportation or any other cause. JessLeePhotos
reserves the right to substitute hotels, and other previously outlined arrangements
as necessary, to either improve or equal the travel experience.
JessLeePhotos reserves the right to pass on to tour members any additional
and unplanned expenditures incurred during the tour, via events beyond JessLeePhotos'
control.
The right is reserved to accept or decline any person as a member of any tour.
Payment of tour fees by trip participants constitutes their acceptance of
all conditions contained herein including but not limited to injury, death
or other liability incurred during a trip..
