A special time. A special place
Located in the temperate Rio Grande valley of New Mexico, Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge attracts a raucous bounty of migrant birds from the northern most arctic slopes. Sandhill cranes, snow geese, bald eagles, herons, hawks, falcons, roadrunners, gambles quail and waterfowl abound. Add this to the unique desert fauna such as mule deer, coyotes, throw in the world renowned New Mexico light and you have a truly world class nature photography destination.
In addition this trip will include photographing moon rise during the full moon at White sands National Monument.
Jess has photographed Bosque since the late 1970's and taught Photography here since 2000 with great success. The abundance of subject and availability of none stop photo targets make Bosque one of the premier wildlife photography teaching locations in the world. But this trip will be more than the normal Bosque, sandhill's and snow goose shoot. We will be experiencing a special midday shoot to a different location away from Bosque each day. We will have the opportunity to visit various historic and wildlife locations in the area.
